| I am in-charge of the travel desk in my organization. I have been asked to slash travel costs as a cost cutting measure owing to the recession. I have to book tickets to various destinations for our executives who have to travel a lot. Sometimes we end up paying very high air fares even for short distances. I need help from a travel search tool so that I can cut down the budget of my company. |

I am equally in favour of using BMI or BA or Virgin, but certainly not when Ryanair charge 200 pounds (or more) less; the big three are great for longhaul-for shorthaul, unless you are a businessman urgently flying to a meeting, not much point in paying 500 quid to Madrid when you can fly Easy...
Cheers

If you want to fly cheap for the holidays...you have to buy your tickets about six months in advance...and even then, you might not be able to...peak times are expensive because the airline's know that the people are willing to pay higher prices to see their families, and they can gouge the business travelers.

Hello Friends.......
Create a travel policy, communicate the policy to staff, stick to it and ensure all travel bookings go through approved channels. A travel policy should be implemented throughout an organisation from CEO level down. Cost savings initiatives are not always positively received by staff so it is important to maintain open communication with departments and personnel affected.

Hello
• Go to a cheap destination
Countries with low cost of living are ideal destinations for low budget travels. Unless you want to boast to your colleagues about your travel, choose a lesser-known destination. There is not much difference in the seashore of Europe and Latin America or Asia or Africa, other than the cost of living. You will get the same relaxation to your body and the same cool breeze. The hotels, transportation, food and beverages are economic in lesser-known destinations.
• Go one-step down for hotels
The other mantra of low budget travels is "do not pay for those things that you do not need to use". With almost same facilities, a 5-Start hotel will charge twice what a 4-star hotel will charge. Most travelers use hotels for sleeping in night. So there is no point to pay for many facilities such as swimming pool when you do not intend to use them.
• Friendship with localities
Try to be friendly with the local people and you will get travel tips for cheap stuff everywhere. Talk with people about the country and get some cheap travel tips about the room rates and hotels. A taxi driver will guide you to cheapest hotels if you tip him a dollar. However, cheap is not everything, make sure that the location of the hotel and the hotel itself is safe.
• Local travel agent compared to travel agent in US
For low budget travels you can directly deal with travel agents of the country of your destination. Plan your trip with a local travel agent in the destination country. There are many websites offering huge discounts on packages. Local agents have better contacts and they can offer cheaper packages. Most UStravel agents are business partners of the local agents offering same packages at higher rates. _________________ Wooden doors |

While hostels are the traditional budget accommodation, almost all impose an age limit and, frankly, they usually aren’t pleasant places to stay in. For more peace and privacy that still fits the budget, private apartment offer a solution. The downtown tourist apartments advertised online are usually grossly overpriced, but many tourist boards keep a list of apartments that can be rented cheaply for stays lasting from one night to several months. An added benefit is that your neighbors will be local residents instead of other tourists. The trick is that these apartments are rarely advertised, so visitors will have to ask the local tourist board, a travel agency, or even a real estate agency to find one.
For those who don’t mind sleeping under the stars, there’s always camping. Most campsites in Europe do charge a fee, but it’s considerably less than what hotels charge. If you’re looking for absolutely free accommodation, try the Global Freeloaders network or the Hospitality Club. Members of these groups offer their spare rooms, sofas, and air mattresses to travelers at no cost and are sometimes willing to take their guests out to see the sites. On the down side, not everyone in these networks can offer private rooms or access to cooking facilities, and some request that the guest leave the house while the homeowner is out. _________________ car rims
