The amazing race 9 is scheduled to air in February 2006!

After a disappointing amazing race family edition, the series will resume in the original 2 member teams format.

Hopefully this new season of the amazing race will live up to it's reputation, emmy awards and it's own definitions of the program as; teams with a pre-existing relationship, race around the world in THE AMAZING RACE!

I think most of the amazing race fans were terribly disappointed of the last edition so Phil and TAR production, make the next one a season to remember!!!!!

I agree, the last season was a bore... the teams didn't leave north america, and nothing really happened. I'm a huge fan of the show, and I was distraught when I heard Season 8 would be a family edition. I'm glad it's going back to couples, and that the teams will be leaving North America!! Season 8 was terrible, I watched the first two episodes, and stopped until the last episode, just so I can see what season 9 would be like!!
