we are 2 girls (18 and 20) traveling to south america for 6 weeks. we want to visit Bolivia, Peru and Chile, unfortunately we can't stay any longer because of school..... could you inform us on "must see places" , budget accommodation, youth hostels and safety tips for these places. do you beleive that 6 weeks is enough to visit Bolivia, Peru and Chile or it is a tight scedule? I'm not too concerned about safety but what do you think about 2 young girls traveling alone in Bolivia, Peru and Chile???
thank you for your help!

Hey Naomi,
The best plac to find budget accomodation in South America is www.minihostels.com. They have a network of small, chill, fun hostels all over South America and you can get a membership for US$10 and get a 10% discount every night you stay at one of their hostels. Its a great deal and all the hostels are clean, safe, and awesome.
As far as traveling with two girls goes, you should be fine as long as you use common sense. Keep your money and passport close to your body when youre traveling, be extra careful about watching your bags when youre on public transportation and loop your purses around your foot when you sit down at restaurants. Theres no need to be paranoid though, you should be totally fine.
Hope this was helpful and have fun!
