| How is everybody doing! I’ve just come across high school jahr Australien which I find very interesting. Australia is not only a very big country, it is also very popular of being an animal planet (talk about NatGeo). High school students who want to study in a foreign country will surely find Australia more than educating! It is fun! |

The highlight of the recent November 2008 Design Exhibition was the announcement of the “Director’s Choice Award” which was won by Hong
Kong student Coral Chum for her outstanding design of a light evoking the form of the Australian waratah flower.
Other awards were given to Randy Ximing Liang for his conceptual designs in two dimensions, Yeunhee Kyoung for a symbolic wearable design using only discarded and found materials, to Ji Seong. Kim for her conceptual model of imagined space, and to Meg Zhang also for her light, inspired by the red-back spider.
Over the last few years the UNSW Foundation Studies Design program has achieved outstanding success. Not only does the program provide
a pathway for well prepared students to enter UNSW College of Fine Arts and
Faculty of Built Environment undergraduate programs, but students graduating from the Foundation Studies Design program have gone on to receive great success and international recognition as well!
Our Foundation Studies Design students were recently honoured with Gold and Silver Medals at the Dyson Student Awards/Australian Design Awards, places and Highly Commended recognition in the Cormack Innovation Awards, and appearances on the New Inventors program on Australian television.
