Indonasia where to go what to see how long to stay

HI FRIENDS i'm going to Indonasia for 2 months and i can't decide where to go and what to see while there. everything seems so nice and attractive.... i want to see it all and at the same time but that just won't work so i need some help from you guys to help me sort out my first Indoansian trip Smile

I have already decided not to go to Sumatra due to the tsunami situation. I would like to see java, bali, komodo, lombok but i have also heard alot of nice things about suwalesi!

What to start with? where to go next? and how long at each place?

I willl be in eastern Malaysia, is there a ferry to java or only a plane? wich is cheaper?

you cannot see the whole Indonesia in 2 months, so it's easiest to pick the destinations nearest to each other, in other words Java-Bali-Lombok, and after them, maybe taking a flight into some of the bit more remote places.

I agree with Spedro. Once you start on a certain place you could plan on what is next to go to. You could have leaflets on the places you'd want to visit from the hotel you'll be checking in with. Happy trip!

You can go to Gili islands, It is the very beautiful place. Indonesia is very big country and you are unable to visit in 2months.

Good to know that you plan to come and see Indonesia, but not good news to me as sumateran people. actually tsunami situation and reason its at the top sumatera island, not at my eco trekking location. if you are thinking to come to sumatera for 2 months visit. spend 1 week at my eco trekking sipirok or batangtoru. you can do also home stay. to know better local community. Do come and we wait!

the man asking about indonesia. you should go to somewhere else if you want to promote vietnam.
Indonesia is surely a nice country. If you go to Java, make sure you visit Borobudur temple in Central Java. As for Bali, it's the most beautiful island in Indonesia I think. You can do adventures too in Bali.
