yeah the dominican republic is nice and alot of fun. especially sosua is a party town but there are way too many old men looking for young girls.... that pretty much takes away my pleasure of the DR.....
i wonder if cuba is better in that matter... are there as many prostitutes and pedophiles in cuba as the other islands? |

Fans of the Dominican Republic's white sand beaches are legion in this country.
Since the start of this year, the Dominican Republic. has seen double-digit increases out of Canada, and already 2008 is on track to surpass last year's record-setter of close to 600,000 Canadian arrivals. International arrivals, meanwhile, almost topped four million.
With numbers like these, it's no wonder the Dominican Republic government is spending $1 billion (U.S.) on tourism infrastructure over the next four years.
Check it out for yourself at one of Signature Vacations' Signature Saver$ resorts, on sale now for departures starting Nov. 1.
The four-star, all-inclusive Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Puerto Plata, just one of the properties available, is priced from $678 per person for departures from Nov. 6 to Dec. 11.
Not only are prices low, but Signature will honour any future price reductions on the same package and departure date.

I also love the dominican republic for its economical status. It has the largest or second largest economy in Central America and the Caribbean.
Economic growth takes place in spite of a chronic energy shortage, which causes frequent blackouts and very high prices. Despite a widening merchandise trade deficit, tourism earnings and remittances have helped build foreign exchange reserves.
The Dominican peso (DOP)is the national currency, although United States dollars (USD) and euros (EUR) are also accepted at most tourist sites.
Tourism is also fueling the Dominican Republic's economic growth.Dominican Republic expects increased tourism activity in the upcoming year. Ecotourism has been a topic increasingly important in the nation, with towns like Jarabacoa and neighboring Constanza, and locations like the Pico Duarte, Bahia de Las Aguilas and others becoming more significant in attempts to increase direct benefits from tourism. _________________ Mark my words ~ Eat well three times a day at virginia bed and breakfast inn.
