Hi, i plan on going to visit africa for the first time... Don't know what country to start with yet. what is the best country to visit as a low-budget tourist, safe but nice.

What is your favorite african country?

Is it safe for a girl (25 years) to travel alone? I plan on meeting new friends on the road and in youth hostels, got any good addresses?

Chicka, one of my favorite countries is Senegal, there is alot to see and doo there. I think that it is a good start to learn to appreciate Africa.

It's a good thing to find a good contact before traveling there and book hotel before arrival, then you are all set!
