In the intense heat of summer, Santiago de Cuba explodes with the island's best carnival, an evocative celebration of the city's Afro-Caribbean roots. Summer in Cuba, a major tourist destination in the Caribbean region, is an excellent period to enjoy your vacations and participate in popular traditional festivities.
Tourist programs for foreign vacationers are complemented by the country's traditions, in addition to the excellent geographic location of the Cuban archipelago, its exuberant nature and hundreds of kilometers of pristine beaches.
The summer months in Cuba bring with them the wet weather. An indication of the wet weather levels seen in Cuba during the summer is that fact that average monthly rainfall levels between the months of May-October are three times higher than that found in Cuba during the winter.
Hope you will enjoy your summer vacations in Cuba. _________________ Mark my words ~ Eat well three times a day at virginia bed and breakfast inn.

The biggest danger to you in the water is you. You are not natural prey for sharks. They have very specific prey pictures in their head and avoid anything that doesn't look like prey.
I used to teach Scuba diving in Australia and we used to take students on night dives looking for sharks. We used to see Bronze Whaler sharks about 6 foot long and we never had a problem.
Cuba is too warm for great whites (I think) so the only other problem is Tiger sharks and if you're swimming off a beach it's too shallow for either shark.
I have been in the water with a school of 18 very large hammerheads and never had a problem.
