Hi,

i'm looking for a cheap hotel to stay at in new york city. it would be nice to be in a not too bad neighbourhood close and close to the action. i know that there is no such thing as cheap hotel in new york or at least cheap and not bug infested or the like so something affordable would be nice.

I checked the usual sites like tripadvisor but all hotels that have a "ok" rating are out of my budget 200$+ per night..... and the ones around 100$ a night have terrible rating and even worse comments. It's just horrible what people can say about hotel service and what animals one might find in a hotel.

Anyways, i'm coming to you fellow travelers for a good advice on the matter.... if you have visited the big apple recently and know of a good clean and relatively cheap hotel somehow centrally located in new york, please let me know!
